Lincoln Park on N. Bayshore Drive in Valparaiso, FL, was recently improved through a project funded in part by a USDA FWS Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration (NRDAR) Grant, administered by the FL Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). The project included the replacement of the old boat ramps and T-shaped dock, which were in poor condition and limited larger boats from using the facilities at the City’s popular park. The new features include a two-lane boat ramp, composite decked docks on each side, and a handicapped-accessible dock. Additionally, sheet piles were used in the new ramp design to reduce potential erosion at the ramp toe and shoreline. The project also incorporated monofilament recycling devices and manatee education signage.
Total Construction Cost: $1,000,000
