Poly provided planning, design, and construction phase services for the new Steve Williams Arena which is located in downtown Headland, Alabama. The new Arena is a 30,198 SF facility conveniently sited between Headland High School and Headland Elementary School. The Arena was designed to serve as both a first-class basketball and volleyball sporting venue providing 1,752 spectator seats, a collegiate basketball court, and two regulation volleyball courts. The interior design boasts fan-shaped home bleacher seating and an upper-level seating area that is handicapped accessible via an elevator. The building’s main function is to provide an elite sporting facility for the high school’s basketball and volleyball teams while also accommodating elementary school physical education activities. In addition, the facility was designed to accommodate a temporary stage and 750 floor chair seats to allow for graduations and other community events that will allow a total spectator capacity of 2,502 seats.
